We want your stay at Maketu Beach Haven to be as relaxing as the view. Here are a few helpful things to know before you book—just the key info about bookings, cancellations, and house rules to help avoid surprises. Got questions? Just get in touch—we’re happy to help.
Booking & Cancellation Policy
Non-refundable & Best Available rate bookings are non-cancellable and non-changeable and will be charged the total price of the reservation at the time of booking.
Flexible rate bookings, cancellation and date-changes are permitted with notice up to 3 days prior to arrival. Failure to give notice within this time-frame, or to no-show, will result in 100% of all accommodation reserved being charged.
For Public Holidays our cancellation notice period is up to seven-days prior to arrival.
Failure to cancel within this time frame, or to no-show, will result in a 100% fee of all accommodation reserved being charged.
For Peak Season (14 Dec to 20 Jan)
Full payment for all accommodation must be received at least 30 days prior to scheduled day of arrival or, if your booking is made within 30 days of your scheduled day of arrival, full payment must be paid at the time of booking. A 100% cancellation fee will apply within this time frame.
Group Booking Terms
Reservations of 3 units or more are considered a group booking. Group bookings are taken at the sole discretion of the property a deposit may be required and additional conditions may apply. The following cancelation policy applies to all movements on group reservations.
For Group bookings - 01 Apr to 14 Dec
Full payment for all accommodation must be received at least 30 days prior to scheduled day of arrival or, if your booking is made within 30 days of your scheduled day of arrival, full payment must be made at the time of booking. A 100% cancellation fee will apply in this time frame.
Group Bookings (more than 3 units) for peak season-14 Dec to 31 Mar
Outside 90 days prior : No Charge
90-60 days prior : 50% charge for total room nights cancelled
60-30 days prior : 75% charge for total room nights cancelled
Inside 30 days prior : 100% charge for total room nights cancelled
Checkin/Checkout Times
- Check in time : 2pm
- Check out time : 10am
Late Checkout Charges
- $30 to checkout at 12pm
- $60 charge to checkout at 2pm
Events that may affect your booking
In rare situations, things beyond our control—like natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions—may prevent us from providing your booked accommodation or services. These events include (but aren't limited to):
- Pandemics
- Natural disasters like earthquakes, floods, or storms
- Fires or explosions
- Acts of war or terrorism
- Strikes or lockouts
- Government laws, restrictions, or emergencies
- Any other major events we couldn’t have predicted or reasonably avoided
If any of these events occur, we may not be able to fulfil your booking and won’t be held responsible for any resulting cancellations or changes.
Damage & misuse
Any damage to the Hotel, Hotel room or the Hotel’s property may be charged to the credit card provided at the time of booking, plus a charge for any resultant loss of income if applicable.
Noise & guest behaviour
Our intent as an accommodation provider, is for all our Guests to enjoy the comfort and facilities we offer. Our ‘No Excessive Noise Policy’, any person(s) found to be creating excessive noise, will be warned that eviction may take place, and if not heeded will be evicted without a refund.
Reservation refusal
We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time from any person if we reasonably believe the person:
- Is not the person named on the reservation
- Is not the person named on the credit card or not authorised to use the card
- Is not able to pay for any additional charges
- May cause damage to the property of the Park or other guests
- May exhibit or has exhibited socially unacceptable behaviour while staying in or attempting to access a TOP 10 Holiday Park
- Is younger than 18 years and not accompanied by a responsible person over that age
- Is concealing a dog or other unauthorised animal
- Is displaying / wearing gang insignia
- We reserve the right to eject guests from the Park who are deemed by management to be behaving in a socially unacceptable way; causing damage; disturbing other guests; using unacceptable language or otherwise breaking Park rules. No refund will be given, and charges will apply for any damage caused.

Cancellations
All cancellations must be made in writing using your reservation confirmation number.
Waiver of liability
I ( as the person who made the booking) agree to comply with the Rules of Maketu Beach Haven and the Health and Safety Requirements on behalf of myself and my party.
In the unlikely event of an accident, whereby I or any of my party suffer an injury or loss or damage to our person or personal effects, I acknowledge that the Maketu Beach Haven will not be liable for any direct or indirect loss, damage or injury arising from or in connection with staying at Maketu Beach Haven and I waive all and any claims whatsoever against Maketu Beach Haven in this respect.
I (as the person who made the booking) or anyone in my party will not be directly supervised by any staff member of Maketu Beach Holiday Park
I (as the person who made the booking) am liable to pay for any costs incurred due to the misuse, or any damage, stealing or accidental loss of any Maketu Beach Haven Property and a cleaning fee if I or any of my party have caused this.
If I or my party are in breach of any of the Regulations or Rules I understand that I and my party will be asked to vacate immediately with NO REFUND.
Maketu Beach Haven reserves all rights to deny access to any individual or party to the their property and or accommodation at their discretion – NO REFUNDS will be given.
